Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and develop furniture designs based on market trends, consumer preferences, and brand identity.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed 2D and 3D models of furniture prototypes and products.
- Collaborate closely with the product development team to refine and iterate on designs, considering factors like functionality, materials, cost, and manufacturing processes.
- Conduct feasibility assessments to ensure that designs can be effectively produced within manufacturing constraints.
- Generate detailed technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing purposes, including dimensions, materials, finishes, and assembly instructions.
- Participate in design reviews, providing insights and recommendations to enhance product designs for better performance, aesthetics, and manufacturability.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and materials, integrating new ideas into the design process.
- Collaborate with the production team to address design-related challenges during the manufacturing process and make necessary adjustments.
- Ensure that the final products meet quality standards, are aesthetically pleasing, and fulfil customer expectations.
