About the role:You will join the client's in-house engineering team working on a clinical learning platform that is going through a platform migration and adding AI-powered features. This is a hands-on senior role: you will write code, shape technical design, guide other engineers, and work directly with US-based stakeholders.What you will do:- Design, build and maintain front-end, back-end and API components using TypeScript, Node.js and React.- Build and integrate AI features using LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini or similar).- Design data models and write optimized SQL.- Lead technical discussions, review code, and mentor junior engineers.- Work in Agile sprints with US teams: refinement, estimation and status updates.- Act as first point of escalation for complex technical issues in your area.Must-have skills:- 7+ years in software engineering, with strong hands-on full-stack work.- TypeScript / JavaScript, Node.js, Express, React.- SQL, relational data modeling, and query optimization.- REST API design and third-party integrations.- Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs and using prompt engineering (structured outputs, system prompts).- Daily use of AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code or similar).- Unit testing / TDD and code reviews in Agile teams.- Excellent spoken and written English, and comfort working directly with US clients.Positive-to-have skills:- Agentic AI: tool/function calling, MCP, agent frameworks, LLM evaluation (LLM-as-judge,
