VisionX provides personalized mentorship, guidance on education loans, CV and SOP building, accommodation support, IELTS coaching, and visa counselling with a high success rate.

The team also works closely with parents to clarify processes, career outcomes, and financial planning, maintaining full transparency and no hidden charges. VisionX operates from the United Kingdom and Vellore, and is expanding support through its on-site counselling presence in Chennai.

Role Description The Study Abroad Counsellor is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This role involves providing one-on-one counselling to students on study abroad options, shortlisting countries, universities, and programs aligned with their academic background and career goals. The counsellor will guide students through application processes, documentation, CV and SOP preparation, and coordinate with internal teams for test preparation, visa filing, and loan assistance.

Daily responsibilities include conducting counselling sessions, responding to inquiries via email and phone, maintaining accurate student records, and following up on application milestones. The role also includes organizing information sessions,



supporting social media and outreach activities, and ensuring a transparent and ethical counselling experience for students and their families.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong counselling and advisory skills, including student guidance, career counselling, and the ability to explain complex processes clearly.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, including fluent spoken and written English, active listening, and qualified email and phone etiquette.
- Candidates should possess organizational and coordination skills, such as managing multiple student cases, maintaining documentation, and tracking application and visa timelines.
- Candidates should possess relationship-building and customer service skills, including empathy, patience, and a student-centered approach when working with learners and parents.
- Candidates should possess basic IT and research skills, including proficiency with office productivity tools (Word, Excel, email, CRM) and the ability to research universities, programs, and scholarship options.
- Relevant experience in study abroad counselling, higher education advising, international admissions, or related education services is highly beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required; a degree in education, psychology, management, or international studies is an advantage.
- Familiarity with major study destinations (USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Europe), admission requirements, and visa processes will be considered a strong plus.
