About the role
CodeSizzler is hiring a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with our customers. You’ll own Databricks solutions from data ingestion through to the application layer. You’ll take loosely defined business problems, turn them into production-ready systems, and run high-visibility engagements on your own.
What you’ll do
- Design and build solutions on Databricks, and migrate existing platforms to it
- Deploy and monitor workloads in production
- Debug complex issues anywhere in the stack, from Spark internals to the apps users see
- Build scalable data pipelines, APIs and end-user applications
- Add LLM and AI capabilities to customer solutions using OpenAI, Anthropic and Gemini APIs
- Act as the technical lead customers rely on, turning their needs into working systems
What you bring
- 10+ years of total experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics (required)
- 6+ years of hands-on Databricks experience (required), with at least 6–8 Databricks projects delivered
- Deep experience with distributed computing on Spark, including how the Spark runtime works under the hood
- Up-to-date knowledge across Databricks products and platform features, including performance tuning, CI/CD and scaling
- Working knowledge of at least two cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), with deep expertise in one
- Hands-on experience building LLMs and AI APIs into applications
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Qualified, plus the required training

Note: Applicants with less than 10 years of total experience or less than 6 years of hands-on Databricks experience will not be considered. Seniority is decided during interviews, based on your overall experience and what you can show you’ve done.
