One of our early-stage Q-Comm companies is revolutionizing the way beauty products are purchased across India, and they are now looking for a Category Head to come in and own category strategy, assortment, and brand partnerships. Responsibilities
• Own the beauty category P&L; and growth strategy, including assortment, pricing, and margin across SKUs
• Build and manage relationships with brands, distributors, and suppliers, negotiating commercial terms, trade margins, and promotions
• Drive assortment planning and current brand onboarding, balancing range depth, hero SKUs, and long-tail selection for fast delivery
• Partner with supply chain and dark store teams on inventory planning, availability, and wastage
• Work with marketing and growth teams on category campaigns, launches, and brand-funded visibility
• Track category KPIs (GMV, margins, fill rates, repeat purchase) and use data to course-correct quickly




• Hire and lead a category team of managers and analysts Qualifications
• 6-10 years in category management, buying, or merchandising, with at least 2 years in beauty
• Proven track record managing category P&L;, supplier negotiations, and assortment decisions
• Strong relationships or credibility with beauty brands and distributors across India
• Data-driven, comfortable with pricing, demand, and inventory analytics
• Experience in e-commerce, Q-Comm, or fast-moving retail preferred
