Job Title: Mainframe z/OS ISV System Programmer Experience level: 9+ Years

Bangalore Work Mode: Hybrid/ 1 Shift Your role This role ensures the stability, availability, and performance of critical mainframe infrastructure by managing software maintenance, troubleshooting complex technical issues, supporting IPL and disaster recovery activities, and collaborating with vendors, operations teams, and business stakeholders. Typical ISV products include SYSVIEW, OPS/MVS, CA 7, ESP, ACF2, Top Secret, CA View, CA Deliver, CA Spool, and other Broadcom, BMC, Rocket Software, and Infogix solution What you Will do
• Install, upgrade, and maintain ISV products using SMP/E.
• Apply software maintenance including PTFs, APARs, and HOLDDATA.
• Perform product customization and configuration activities.
• Support IPLs, system upgrades, and disaster recovery exercises.
• Troubleshoot product-related incidents and coordinate with software vendors.
• Manage PARMLIB, PROCLIB, APF, Link list, and related system changes.
• Ensure system availability, performance, and compliance with operational standards.
• Provide production support and participate in on-call rotations. Required Skills and Experience
• Strong experience in ISV product administration within IBM z/OS environments, including installation, configuration, customization, maintenance, and upgrade of third-party software products.
• Hands-on expertise with SMP/E and software maintenance activities, including applying and managing PTFs, APARs, HOLDDATA, fixes,



and version upgrades.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills for complex software, system, and performance-related issues, with robust analytical and incident management capabilities.
• Knowledge of z/OS system programming concepts, including PARMLIB, PROCLIB, APF Authorization, Link list management, IPL support, system upgrades, and disaster recovery activities.
• Experience collaborating with software vendors such as Broadcom, BMC, Rocket Software, Infogix, and other ISV providers for product support, maintenance, and issue resolution.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with operations teams, technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders in a production support environment. Preferred Skills and Experience
• Experience administering SYSVIEW, OPS/MVS, CA 7, ESP Scheduler, ACF2, CA Top Secret, CA View, CA Deliver, and CA Spool products.
• Familiarity with Broadcom, BMC, Rocket Software, and Infogix product suites and support processes.
• Experience supporting 24x7 production environments, on-call rotations, and critical incident management.
• Exposure to mainframe infrastructure upgrades, IPL planning, and disaster recovery testing.
• Working knowledge of mainframe security, scheduling, monitoring, and automation tools.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives related to system stability, performance, and operational excellence.
