Job Purpose/ Summary The Lead – EHS is responsible for managing environmental, health, and safety functions within the manufacturing plant. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, promotes a strong safety culture, drives risk mitigation initiatives, and implements systems to achieve a secure and sustainable workplace

Safety Management &

• Risk Control '-Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and risk mitigation plans. -Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. -Drive initiatives to achieve zero fatalities and minimize workplace incidents. 2.

Regulatory

Compliance &

• Governance -Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and central EHS regulations. -Maintain required documentation, records, and statutory reports. -Coordinate audits and inspections, ensuring closure of observations within timelines.

- Training &
- Safety Awareness -Plan and conduct safety training programs and awareness campaigns for employees. -Develop in-house capabilities such as trained fire fighters and emergency response teams.



-Promote safety culture through continuous engagement and communication initiatives. 4.

Emergency

Preparedness &

• Fire Safety Systems -Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fire safety systems such as hydrants, sprinklers, extinguishers, and detectors. -Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct mock drills. -Ensure readiness of fire protection systems and emergency equipment at all times. 5.

Environmental

Management -Monitor environmental parameters and ensure compliance with environmental norms. -Implement initiatives for waste management, pollution control, and resource conservation. -Promote sustainable practices and environmental awareness across the organization. 6.

Continuous

Improvement &

• Reporting -Track EHS performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives. -Publish safety rules, guidelines, and visual communication at critical locations. -Analyze incidents and near misses to implement preventive and corrective actions.

Achieve zero fatalities and promote a safe working environment by implementing rigorous safety protocols and fostering a culture of safety awarenessbr Ensure 100 compliance with all regulatory and statutory EHS requirements by regularly reviewing and updating safety policies and proceduresbr Implement effective safety training and awareness programs across the organization to educate employees on best practices and emergency response proceduresbr Ensure operational readiness of fire safety and emergency response systems by conducting regular inspections and maintenance of equipmentbr Minimize incidents through proactive risk identification and control measures ensuring potential hazards are addressed before they result in accidentsbr Drive continuous improvement in EHS performance and reporting by analyzing data identifying trends and implementing corrective actions to enhance safety outcomes
