Role Description The Network Security Analyst is a full-time remote role responsible for protecting and monitoring client network environments and systems. This role involves assessing network security posture, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing security controls and best practices. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring network traffic and security alerts, investigating incidents, performing root-cause analysis, and documenting findings and remediation steps.

The analyst will collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to design secure network architectures, maintain firewall and access control policies, and support compliance with relevant security standards. The role also includes creating and updating procedures, contributing to security awareness,



and continuously improving tools and processes to strengthen overall network and information security.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Network Administration and Troubleshooting to manage, configure, and diagnose issues across routers, switches, firewalls, and related infrastructure.
- Candidates should possess skills in Cybersecurity, Network Security, and Information Security to assess risks, implement security controls, and respond to security incidents.
- Experience with security monitoring tools (e.g., SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection) and log analysis for threat detection and incident response.
- Knowledge of network protocols, VPNs, encryption, and secure configuration practices, as well as common attack vectors and mitigation strategies.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, CEH, or CCNA (Security or equivalent) are beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in remote, distributed teams and the ability to manage time and priorities independently.
