- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with model developers, risk management teams, treasury teams, and other stakeholders to discuss findings, recommend remediation actions,
and monitor issue resolution.
- Ongoing Monitoring: Support periodic model reviews, performance monitoring, and reassessment of models following material changes in methodologies, portfolios, or market conditions.
Key Requirements:
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in Enterprise Risk Management, quantitative risk modelling, model validation, or independent risk review within banking, financial services, or consulting.
- Strong hands-on experience in independent model validation, preferably across Market Risk and/or Liquidity Risk.
- Good understanding of market risk methodologies, including VaR, Expected Shortfall, stress testing, and back-testing.
- Experience validating liquidity risk models, including liquidity stress testing, cash flow forecasting, funding assumptions, or behavioural modelling.
- Strong knowledge of statistical modelling, quantitative analysis, sensitivity testing, and scenario analysis.
- Proficiency in Python, R, SAS, MATLAB, or similar analytical tools; experience with SQL is an advantage.
- Ability to critically evaluate model methodologies, assumptions, data, limitations, and performance.
- Strong documentation, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
Preferred Qualification:
- Postgraduate degree in Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline.
