Company Description Superfan.ng is an edtech learning platform focused on African languages and culture, designed for learners across the continent and the diaspora. The product is a gamified, quiz-first app that explores African proverbs, traditions, rites of passage, festivals, folklore, and customs. By combining playful interaction with deep cultural knowledge, Superfan.ng aims to make language and heritage learning engaging and accessible. The team is building a modern digital experience that celebrates African diversity while offering users a meaningful way to connect with their roots. Role Description This is a full-time, remote Freelance UX/UI Designer role. The designer will collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate learning and cultural concepts into intuitive, visually engaging mobile and web interfaces. Day-to-day tasks include creating user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups, designing interactive components and design systems, and refining the overall visual language of the app. The role also involves conducting user experience reviews, incorporating feedback from learners, and iterating designs to improve usability, accessibility, and engagement.



The designer will help ensure consistent branding and a cohesive experience across all touchpoints, from core gameplay screens to onboarding and long-term retention features. Qualifications
• Strong User Experience (UX) skills, including user flows, interaction design, and usability-focused problem solving.
• User Interface Design and Visual Design skills to create consistent, high-quality, mobile-first interfaces.
• Ability to produce clear, detailed Mockups and design specifications for cross-functional teams.
• Front-End Development familiarity (e.g., HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript or React) to collaborate effectively with engineers and understand implementation constraints.
• Proficiency with modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and versioning workflows.
• Experience designing for mobile apps, gamified or learning products, or culturally focused platforms is highly beneficial.
• Solid communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage deadlines as a freelancer.
• Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX/UI work, including problem framing, design rationale, and impact on user experience.
