Role Description The Academic Counsellor role is a full-time, remote position focused on supporting school students in their academic journey, with a strong emphasis on Mathematics and related learning goals. In this role, the Academic Counsellor will guide students in setting realistic study plans, monitoring progress, and addressing learning challenges through regular check-ins and feedback sessions. The role involves providing empathetic student counseling, offering career and academic guidance, and collaborating with mentors and educators to ensure a cohesive support system.



The Academic Counsellor will communicate regularly with learners and families to share updates, clarify expectations, and recommend resources that enhance learning outcomes. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records of student interactions, contributing insights to improve the student-first learning model, and participating in team meetings to align on best practices. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Academic Advising skills to support learners’ academic and emotional needs.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear spoken and written communication in English (regional language proficiency is an advantage).
• Candidates should possess Career Counseling and Education-related knowledge to guide students on academic pathways and future opportunities.
• Candidates should possess the ability to build trust with students and families, show empathy, and maintain professional boundaries.
• Relevant experience in school or coaching environments, especially in Maths-focused programs, is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.
• Comfort with digital tools, online communication platforms, and remote collaboration is required.
• Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple student cases simultaneously.
