Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Service Now Senior Platform SAM Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Service Now Software Asset Management (SAM), platform development, configuration, customization, and integration.
The consultant will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enhancing Service Now SAM solutions to support software asset lifecycle management, software license compliance, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate should have experience working with Service Now SAM capabilities and collaborating with technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver scalable platform solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and enhance Service Now Software Asset Management (SAM) solutions.
- Support software asset lifecycle management processes within the Service Now platform.
- Configure software asset tracking, license management, and reconciliation workflows.
- Develop and maintain Service Now platform customizations using Java Script and related scripting capabilities.
- Work with Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, and Flow Designer to implement business requirements.
- Support software license compliance monitoring, normalization, and optimization processes.
- Develop and maintain workflows, automation, and integrations supporting SAM operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Service Now SAM configurations and platform functionality.
- Collaborate with Service Now architects, functional consultants, and business stakeholders.
- Support system enhancements, testing, deployments, and production issue resolution.
- Maintain technical documentation for application configurations, workflows,
and integrations.
- Follow Service Now platform development standards and best practices.

Requirements Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of total and relevant experience in Service Now development, with strong exposure to Software Asset Management (SAM).
- Hands-on experience with Service Now SAM configuration and development.
- Robust understanding of software asset lifecycle management and software license management.
- Experience developing and customizing applications on the Service Now platform.
- Strong knowledge of Java Script and Service Now scripting.
- Experience with Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, and Flow Designer.
- Understanding of Service Now IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes.
- Experience implementing workflow automation and platform enhancements.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve Service Now SAM-related technical issues.
- Experience with Service Now integrations and REST APIs.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Service Now Software Asset Management Professional (SAM Pro).
- Knowledge of software normalization, discovery, and license reconciliation.
- Familiarity with software compliance, license optimization, and asset reporting.
- Experience with Service Now Integration Hub.
- Exposure to Service Now CMDB and Discovery.
- Experience working on enterprise Service Now implementations.
