About the Role

Biotecnika is looking for a Maths expert who can make numerical concepts simple, engaging and exam-focused for GATE and CSIR NET aspirants. The role primarily involves teaching

Engineering Mathematics for relevant GATE papers and quantitative aptitude, numerical ability and mathematical reasoning for CSIR NET Part A. Topics and exam coverage will be finalised according to the candidate’s expertise and programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities

● Conduct live online classes, doubt-clearing sessions and revision sessions.

● Develop structured lesson plans, presentations, practice worksheets and concise learning resources.

● Create and review original MCQs, numerical problems, mock tests and detailed step-by-step solutions.

● Explain previous-year questions, problem-solving approaches and time-saving methods without compromising conceptual understanding.

● Record concept lessons and problem-solving videos when required.

● Review academic content for accuracy, clarity, difficulty level and alignment with the relevant exam syllabus and pattern.

● Coordinate with the academic team and meet agreed class schedules and content deadlines.

Subject Expertise

● GATE Engineering Mathematics: relevant areas such as linear algebra, calculus,

differential equations,



probability and statistics, and numerical methods, depending on the target paper.

● CSIR NET Part A: quantitative aptitude, numerical ability, data interpretation,

mathematical reasoning and logical problem-solving.

● Candidates should clearly mention the exams, papers and topics they can confidently teach. Expertise in both exam categories is preferred; specialists in either category may also apply.

Eligibility & Skills

● M.Sc. in Mathematics / Applied Mathematics, or a relevant postgraduate qualification with solid mathematical proficiency.

● Experience teaching mathematics or aptitude for GATE, CSIR NET or comparable competitive examinations.

● Strong conceptual knowledge and the ability to explain complex problems in clear,

simple English.

● Ability to teach learners from life sciences, biotechnology and related backgrounds with varying levels of mathematical preparation.

● Comfort with online teaching tools, digital writing tablets and creating clear academic presentations.

● Reliable internet connectivity, suitable audio/video equipment and availability for mutually agreed sessions.

● GATE / NET qualification, a Ph.D. or a proven competitive-exam teaching track record will be an added advantage.

Engagement & Availability

This is a part-time / freelance opportunity. Teaching hours, live-session timings, content assignments and deadlines will be mutually agreed before the engagement begins. Applicants should mention their weekly availability, preferred time slots and earliest joining date.
