Role Description This is a full-time, in office Embedder Firmware Developer role based in Vadodara. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining embedded firmware for Smart Node’s home automation products, focusing on reliability, performance, and seamless integration with hardware. Day-to-day tasks include implementing and testing firmware features, debugging and resolving software and hardware interface issues, and optimizing code for ARM-based microcontrollers.

The developer collaborates closely with hardware, electrical,



and software teams to ensure stable product releases, supports field teams with technical issues, and contributes to documentation and continuous improvement of development processes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Embedded Software and Software Development for microcontroller-based systems.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in ARM Architecture, including low-level programming and optimization for resource-constrained devices.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Debugging, including using tools and methodologies to identify and fix firmware and hardware interaction issues.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Engineering fundamentals, especially related to circuits, sensors, and interfacing embedded systems with hardware.
- Experience with C/C++ for embedded systems and familiarity with RTOS or bare-metal development is highly beneficial.
- Understanding of communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi) and IoT concepts is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Vadodara, collaborate in cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly in technical and non-technical contexts.
