About The Department

Franklin Templeton’s Artificial Intelligence Platform and Artificial Intelligence Investment Group builds shared data, engineering, and AI capabilities across investment, distribution, and corporate functions. Small, multidisciplinary agile teams collaborate with investment professionals, product leaders, architects, engineers, and governance partners. How You Will Add Value?

Core Responsibilities

- You will build reliable batch and streaming data pipelines.
- You will integrate structured, unstructured, internal, and vendor data.
- You will create scalable analytical and machine-learning data models.
- You will implement automated quality testing, reconciliation, and alerting.
- You will maintain traceable data lineage, catalogues, and documentation.

Strategic Responsibilities

- You will optimize pipeline reliability, performance, and operating costs.
- You will resolve failures and prevent recurring data issues.
- You will enforce privacy, retention, security, and access requirements.




- You will apply artificial intelligence to improve engineering processes.
- You will evaluate traditional and AI-assisted approaches using practical judgement.

Team & Collaboration

- You will productionize feature pipelines with engineers and data scientists.
- You will support model training, inference, and retrieval workloads.
- You will partner with architecture, governance, risk, and compliance teams.
- You will strengthen reusable frameworks, standards, and review practices.

What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role? Experience, Education & Certifications

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience.
- Five or more years of production data engineering experience.
- Experience delivering scalable, governed data pipelines.

Technical Skills

- Advanced Structured Query Language and strong Python skills.
- Distributed processing, orchestration, and Extract, Transform, Load frameworks.
- Relational, non-relational, vector, and unstructured data expertise.
- Data modelling, quality testing, reconciliation, and lineage.
- Cloud or hybrid data-platform experience.
- Performance tuning and cost-conscious platform design.
- Familiarity with feature stores and AI retrieval pipelines.

Soft Skills

- Robust analytical and problem-solving judgement.
- Clear communication with technical and business stakeholders.
- Effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
