India
If you're someone who loves figuring things out, takes ownership, and wants to build something meaningful, we'd love to meet you.
At Consultifly, we help students explore career options, discover universities in India and around the world, build their profiles, prepare for competitive exams, and navigate the university admissions process.
Our work spans test preparation for the DSAT, ACT, AP examinations, TMUA, ESAT, TARA and English proficiency tests, academic tutoring for IB and IGCSE curricula, university admissions, profile building, scholarships, visa assistance, and pre-departure support.
A lot goes into making this happen. From researching universities and comparing courses to keeping track of applications, coordinating with students, and ensuring that deadlines and assignments are met, there's never just one thing happening at a time. And that's where you come in.
We're looking for someone who is curious, organised, takes initiative, and is genuinely interested in understanding how education consulting and global university admissions work.
This is a Full-time Remote Role, where you'll work closely with our team and the Founder's Office. You'll have the opportunity to learn, take on responsibility, and gradually grow into a well-rounded professional in admissions and counselling.
What will you actually be doing?
1.
University and course research: A big part of your role will involve researching universities and programmes across India and international destinations, including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and Europe. You'll build detailed Excel and Google Sheets trackers covering course options, eligibility criteria, tuition fees, scholarships, application deadlines, standardised test requirements, and other relevant details. We don't want someone who simply copies information from university websites.
We want someone who can dig deeper, verify information from official sources, compare programmes, identify important differences, and turn their research into something that genuinely helps us make informed recommendations for students. You'll learn how to assess different options based on a student's academic background, interests, budget, and future goals.
2.
Supporting student applications and admissions: You'll work alongside our counselling team to help manage the application process, maintain student records, organise documents, track application requirements, and ensure that important deadlines aren't missed. You'll gradually learn how admissions decisions work, what universities look for, and what goes into building a strong application. The role also involves supporting profile-building initiatives, tracking pending requirements, and helping the team ensure that each student's application journey is organised and well managed.
Training will be provided. You don't need to know everything about admissions when you join, but you should be eager to learn and willing to put in the effort to become good at what you do.
3. Working with students and supporting their academic journey: You'll coordinate with our existing students and parents, track pending requirements, follow up on assignments, organise learning resources, and ensure that students know what they need to work on next.
For students enrolled in our test preparation programmes, this may involve coordinating worksheets, practice assignments, schedules, and other academic resources with our tutors and academic team.
You'll need to communicate clearly, keep track of what is pending, and ensure that things move forward without constant reminders.
4. Founder's Office and operational responsibilities: This role also involves working closely with the Founder's Office on day-to-day coordination. You'll help manage calendars for 2-3 team members, schedule meetings, handle calendar conflicts, track follow-ups, organise information, and ensure that commitments and priorities are managed efficiently.
You'll also maintain internal trackers, organise documents, coordinate schedules, and support other operational requirements as they arise. We work with multiple students, programmes, applications, and deadlines simultaneously. Being organised isn't just a bonus here.
It's essential.
5. Taking initiative and making things better: This is the part that matters most to us. We don't want someone who only starts working when a task is assigned and waits for the next instruction once it's completed.
If you notice a gap in a tracker, discover a useful resource, find a better way to organise information, spot an important application requirement, or think a process could be improved, we want you to speak up. We value people who ask thoughtful questions, think independently, take responsibility for their work, and look for ways to contribute beyond the immediate task assigned to them. You'll have guidance and training, but we also want you to develop the confidence to work independently and bring your own ideas to the table.
Who would be a positive fit?
English fluency is essential for this role.
You must be highly comfortable communicating in English, both spoken and written. You'll be interacting with students, parents, universities, our partners, researching and documenting information, preparing written material, and coordinating with the team. Clear, confident communication is non-negotiable.
Beyond that, you should:
1. Have a basic understanding of the Indian education system and a genuine interest in international education and university admissions.
2. Enjoy researching, comparing information, and working with details.
3. Be comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets, Google Docs, calendars, and other digital tools.
4. Be organised, dependable, punctual, and capable of managing multiple deadlines.
5. Be comfortable coordinating with students, parents, tutors, and other team members.
6. Be proactive and willing to figure things out rather than wait for step-by-step instructions.
7. Be open to feedback and committed to continuously improving your work.
8.
Take ownership of your responsibilities and follow through on your commitments.
9. Freshers are welcome to apply. Prior experience in education consulting, university admissions, counselling, student support, or operations is an advantage, but it isn't mandatory.
10. A bachelor's degree in any discipline is preferred.
We care about your attitude, communication skills, work ethic, and willingness to learn just as much as your existing experience.
A little about the kind of person who will thrive here
We want to be honest about this. This isn't a role where you'll work on one repetitive task every day.
Your responsibilities will span research, coordination, student support, admissions, and operations. Some days, you'll be deep into university research. On others, you'll be coordinating schedules, checking application requirements, or ensuring a student has completed an important assignment.
Not every task will be exciting on its own. Sometimes, the difference between a good student experience and a frustrating one is simply whether someone checked a requirement properly, followed up on time, or caught an important detail. We understand that freshers need training and time to learn.
We don't expect you to arrive knowing everything, and we don't expect you to be perfect. What we do expect is genuine commitment, curiosity, accountability, and a willingness to contribute. We want someone who is interested in the work itself, takes pride in doing things well, and sees opportunities to learn and improve rather than simply ticking tasks off a list.
So, If you're looking for a role where you can learn, take on responsibility, and grow with a team, this could be a great opportunity.
