Head of Cybersecurity Leading E-commerce Company | Kuwait | Full-time, On-site Open to candidates in India willing to relocate to Kuwait Build the team. Own the security roadmap. Stay close to the technology. We serve millions of customers across apps, websites and a network of creator and partner storefronts. We are looking for a hands-on cybersecurity leader to protect that platform and build the security function behind its next stage of growth. You will own security architecture, lead critical incidents and work directly with Engineering to make our systems safer. You will have the authority to challenge technical decisions—and the responsibility to drive fixes through to completion. What you will own
• Application, API and cloud security: Review architectures, threat models and high-risk code changes across mobile, web, identity, payments and checkout.
• Secure engineering: Embed security into CI/CD, strengthen secrets and production-access controls, and drive vulnerabilities from discovery to verified closure.
• Fraud and abuse prevention: Partner with Product, Finance and Fraud teams to tackle account takeover, bots and abuse of promotions, refunds and stored value.
• Detection and response: Build useful detections, test response playbooks and personally lead serious incidents through containment and recovery.
• Team and partner performance: Hire and develop a lean security team, build reliable backup coverage and hold external providers accountable.
• Strategy and investment: Own the roadmap and budget,



explain priorities to senior leadership, and work with Legal and Compliance on applicable requirements. What you bring
• 10+ years in cybersecurity, with proven experience leading security teams and taking responsibility for delivery.
• Deep hands-on expertise in application/API security, cloud security and secure development. You can examine a design or pull request, identify the risk and explain the fix.
• Evidence of closing vulnerabilities and leading serious incidents end to end.
• Experience securing e-commerce, marketplaces, fintech or another high-volume consumer platform.
• Practical experience tackling account takeover, bots and business-logic abuse.
• A track record of developing people and managing external security providers.
• Clear communication, sound judgement and the confidence to challenge Engineering constructively.
• Working knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST CSF and PCI DSS v4.x. Additional strengths Experience with modern cloud platforms, Kubernetes, edge security, securing AI tools and automation, or GCC data-protection requirements. Certifications such as OSCP, CISSP or CISM are welcome.
