SAP HANA DBA Role: SAP HANA Database Administrator (DBA)

Bangalore / Hyderabad Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are looking for an experienced SAP HANA DBA with strong hands-on expertise in SAP HANA database administration, monitoring, performance optimization, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting. The candidate should be comfortable managing enterprise SAP HANA environments and supporting business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, administer, and maintain SAP HANA databases.
• Perform database monitoring, health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Manage backup, recovery, and restore activities.
• Perform HANA database upgrades, revisions, patches, and maintenance activities.
• Monitor CPU, memory, disk utilization, database growth, alerts, and system performance.
• Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for database and performance issues.
• Manage users, roles, privileges, and database security.
• Support High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments.
• Work on SAP HANA System Replication and related administration activities.
• Support production, non-production, migration, and upgrade environments.
• Collaborate with SAP Basis, infrastructure, application, and functional teams.
• Handle incidents, service requests, change requests,



and production issues according to defined SLAs. Required Skills
• 4+ years of relevant SAP HANA DBA experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP HANA database administration.
• Good understanding of SAP HANA architecture and database components.
• Experience with HANA Studio / HANA Cockpit and monitoring tools.
• Strong experience in backup, recovery, database monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of HANA System Replication, HA, and DR concepts.
• Experience with database upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
• Understanding of Linux/Unix environments and basic scripting.
• Knowledge of database security, user administration, roles, and privileges.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Good to Have
• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Exposure to SAP Basis activities.
• Experience with SAP HANA migrations or cloud environments.
• Knowledge of SAP HANA scale-up/scale-out architecture.
• Exposure to automation using Shell/Python scripting.
• SAP HANA certification is an added advantage. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have solid production-support experience as an SAP HANA DBA, with hands-on expertise in performance tuning, troubleshooting, backup/recovery, HANA System Replication, HA/DR, upgrades, and database administration
