SAP Finance Consultant SAP Advanced Financial Closing (AFC) Role Summary
Experienced SAP Finance Consultant responsible for the end-to-end implementation of SAP Advanced Financial Closing (AFC), supporting the automation, monitoring, and optimization of financial close processes. The role involves requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support while collaborating with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders. The Gilead program includes SAP AFC implementation for close task automation, close monitoring, reporting, and analytics as part of a broader Financial Close Automation initiative. Key Responsibilities

- Lead AFC requirements, fit-gap analysis, and solution design.
- Configure AFC task lists, templates, dependencies, and close monitoring.
- Support Prepare, Explore, Realize, Test, Deploy, and Hypercare phases.
- Execute unit testing, SIT, UAT,



and defect resolution.
- Collaborate with SAP S/4HANA, BTP, Security, and integration teams.
- Develop functional specifications, test scripts, training materials, and knowledge transfer documentation.
- Drive close process standardization and automation initiatives.

Required Skills

- 5+ years SAP Finance (FI/CO) experience.
- Strong knowledge of Record-to-Report (RTR) and Financial Close processes.
- Hands-on SAP Advanced Financial Closing (AFC) implementation experience.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, testing, cutover, and hyper care.
- Solid stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.

Preferred

- Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Experience with Blackline Financial Close Automation solutions, including Journal Management, AJDs, and Transaction Matching.
