AutoCAD Design Specialist Industrial Product Engineering Job Description Experience/: 0 to 3 yrs Salary/: Based on Company Norms Education/: Diploma/BE in Mech Location/: In And Around Chennai Your Duties/: Create detailed 2D manufacturing drawings, orthographic projections, section views, exploded assemblies, component blueprints, and shop layouts using AutoCAD.
Develop 3D parametric models and assemblies /(using AutoCAD 3D, Solid Works, or Inventor/) to visualize and test mechanical interactions prior to shop/-floor fabrication. Apply correct Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing /(GD&T;/) principles, surface finishes, fits, and material specifications across all engineering drawings.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers and tool designers to incorporate Design for Manufacturing /(DFM/) and Design for Assembly /(DFA/) principles into all CAD drawings. Manage Engineering Change Notices /(ECNs/), design revisions, drawing revision histories,



and CAD file archiving within product lifecycle management /(PLM/) or ERP systems.
Verify dimensional accuracy, Bill of Materials /(BOM/), part numbers, and technical notes on all released drawings to prevent shop/-floor fabrication errors.
