Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Laboratory to manage laboratory operations, quality testing, and process control in a solar glass manufacturing plant. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality, maintaining testing standards, and supporting continuous improvement in solar glass production.

Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day laboratory operations and supervise laboratory technicians.
Conduct and monitor quality testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished solar glass.
Ensure testing of solar glass for optical transmittance, thickness, dimensions, defects, and other relevant quality parameters.
Monitor glass composition and raw material properties, including silica sand and other batch materials.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, testing procedures, and customer specifications.




Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration records, test reports, and quality documentation.
Analyze test results, identify deviations, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance, and Process teams to resolve quality issues.
Support internal audits, customer audits, and external certification requirements.
Implement laboratory safety procedures and maintain proper housekeeping.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly laboratory performance reports.

Required Skills
Experience in laboratory operations within glass manufacturing, preferably solar glass.
Knowledge of glass quality testing methods and laboratory instruments.
Understanding of chemical analysis, optical properties, and quality control procedures.
Robust analytical, problem-solving, and team-management skills.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, calibration systems, and quality documentation.
Proficiency in MS Excel and laboratory reporting.

Preferred Experience
Experience in solar glass, float glass, or other industrial glass manufacturing.
