Job Overview

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented YouTube Shorts Editor to join the Dot Media team. The ideal candidate should have a robust understanding of short-form content and be able to create engaging, fast-paced, and visually appealing YouTube Shorts that capture audience attention.

Key Responsibilities
Edit and produce engaging YouTube Shorts and short-form videos.
Create content with strong hooks, smooth transitions, captions, effects, and engaging visuals.
Edit videos according to the brand, creator, and campaign requirements.
Select the best footage and create compelling stories within a short duration.
Add music, sound effects, subtitles, graphics, and other elements to enhance video quality.
Keep up with the latest YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and social media trends.
Understand pacing, retention, storytelling, and audience engagement for short-form content.
Repurpose long-form videos, interviews, podcasts, and other content into engaging Shorts.
Work closely with the creative and content teams to understand briefs and deliver content within deadlines.




Ensure videos are optimized for mobile viewing and social media platforms.
Maintain consistency in editing style, branding, and overall video quality.

Requirements
1–3 years of experience in video editing, particularly short-form content.
Strong knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut.
Good understanding of YouTube Shorts and social media content formats.
Strong sense of timing, visual storytelling, transitions, and music selection.
Ability to identify trending formats, editing styles, sounds, and content patterns.
Creative mindset with robust attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work within tight deadlines.
A solid portfolio/showreel of short-form video editing work is preferred.
