Job Overview

The Accounting Trainee will support the finance department with daily bookkeeping, data entry, record-keeping, and basic financial reconciliations. This entry-level role is ideal for a detail-oriented candidate looking to build practical experience in corporate accounting while assisting senior staff with routine financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
Data Entry & Bookkeeping: Enter financial vouchers, invoices, and daily transactions accurately into the accounting software or ERP system.
Document Management: Sort, file, scan, and archive physical and digital bills, receipts, and supporting documents.
Reconciliation Support: Assist with basic bank and cash reconciliations, and help match vendor invoices with purchase orders.
Accounts Payable / Receivable: Help track incoming and outgoing payments, and follow up with internal departments or vendors regarding pending bills.
Compliance Support: Assist in gathering data for statutory filings (such as GST, TDS, or local tax requirements) under guidance.
Reporting & Audits: Prepare basic schedules, registers,



and financial data packets to help keep records audit-ready.
Administrative Assistance: Support the finance team during month-end close procedures and handle general ad-hoc accounting tasks.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (B.Com / M.Com) or pursuing a qualified course (CA Inter, ACCA, etc.).
Experience: Entry-level / 0–1 year of office or internship experience in an accounting or finance setting (prior experience is a plus, not mandatory).
Technical Skills:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets, basic formulas).
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho Books, or SAP).
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail and high numerical accuracy.
Positive communication and organizational skills.
Eagerness to learn and ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity.
