Job Summary

The Production Engineer will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and improving solder manufacturing processes including alloy preparation, melting, casting, wire/bar/ingot production, flux core processing, and packaging. The role ensures production efficiency, product quality, safety compliance, and cost optimization in line with company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:-

Monitor and control solder manufacturing processes such as melting, alloy mixing, casting, extrusion, and wire drawing.

Ensure correct composition of solder alloys as per product specifications.

Maintain production parameters like temperature control, cooling rate, and material flow.

Coordinate with Quality team to ensure compliance with product standards and testing requirements.

Reduce rejection, wastage, and rework through process improvements.

Monitor furnace, casting machines, extrusion lines, and related equipment performance.

Plan and implement preventive maintenance with the Maintenance team.

Implement Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.

Ensure proper handling of raw materials like tin, lead, silver, copper, flux chemicals, etc.





Maintain production records, batch traceability, and process documentation.

Ensure compliance with EHS and hazardous material handling norms.

Support new product development and trial production runs.

Required Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Metallurgy / Chemical Engineering.

2–5 years experience in metal processing / alloy manufacturing / solder / wire manufacturing preferred.

Required Skills

Knowledge of metal alloy properties and melting processes.

Understanding of furnace operations and temperature control systems.

Knowledge of ISO / Quality standards and batch traceability.

Basic knowledge of EHS and hazardous material safety.

ERP / Production reporting knowledge.

Solid problem-solving and analytical skills.
