Purusottam Poultries is a large scale poultry farming company with a daily production of 3,00,000 eggs approximately. We are looking for an experienced General Manager - Poultry Operations who can operate the business like an owner and manage end to end farm operations.

Role Description

The General Manager - Poultry Operations will act as the owner's representative and manage the entire poultry business end to end. The role requires ownership of procurement, production, sales, people , management, cost control and decision making to ensure high productivity, profitability and smooth daily operations of the farm.

Key Responsibility
Manage complete poultry farm operations.
Procure chicks, feed, medicines, vaccines and raw materials.
Oversee egg production, grading, storage and dispatch.
Build and manage egg sales and distributor networks.
Negotiate pricing and control cost per egg.
Recruit, train and manage staff and labours.
Control mortality, FCR and biosecurity standards.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational report.
Take independent operational and financial decisions.
Track cost per egg end margins, improve profitability through productivity,



pricing and process efficiency without compromising bird health and biosecurity.

Qualifications
30+ years with maturity and leadership mindset.
5+ years experience in large scale poultry (Layer) operations.
Handled farm producing minimum 1Lakh egg per day.
Robust knowledge of layer management, FCR and mortality control.
Experience in Procurement of chicks, feed and medicines.
Ability to manage egg sales, pricing and distribution network.
Proven staff and labour management capability.
Cost control and profit improvement mindset.
Comfortable with excel, MIS, and daily reporting.
Owner level decision making and accountability.
Robust understanding of operational finance to monitor cost per egg, margin and profitability while maintaining bird health and production quality.

Compensation

₹40,000 - ₹80,000 per month + performance incentives.

Work Schedule

Full time, on site farm operations role with flexible schedule based on business needs.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
