Position: Accountant
Department: Accounts and Finance

Key responsibilities

Daily accounting
Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments and expenses in Tally or similar software every day.
Prepare and check sales invoices, estimates and credit or debit notes. Gold weight, purity, HUID and stone details must match the stock records.
Reconcile the cash book and bank accounts daily, and report any difference to management at once.
Keep records of old gold exchange, buyback and scheme payments.

Stock and metal accounting
Maintain gold, silver and diamond stock registers in weight and value, and reconcile them with physical stock regularly.
Track issues to and receipts from karigars, suppliers and hallmarking centres.
Report stock variance, loss or wastage to management with supporting records.

GST and tax compliance
Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) on time and reconcile input tax credit.
Handle TDS, TCS and income tax records, and coordinate with the chartered accountant for audit and annual returns.
Keep proper records of cash transactions and PAN details as the law requires.

Payables,



receivables and payroll
Manage supplier and karigar payments, and follow up on customer dues and scheme instalments.
Prepare monthly salary, attendance, incentive and advance records for staff.

Reporting
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on sales, stock, cash and expenses.
Prepare the profit and loss account and balance sheet inputs, and support budgeting and cost control.
Keep all vouchers, bills and records in order for audit.

Qualifications and experience
B.Com, M.Com or equivalent. CA Inter, CMA Inter or similar is an advantage.
[2 to 5] years of accounting experience, preferably in a jewellery, retail or trading business.
Hands-on experience with Tally or similar software, including GST filing.
Freshers with solid accounting basics may be considered for an assistant accountant role.

Pay: From ₹12,000.00 per month
