Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
2+ years' previous sales experience in freight forwarding industry.
Experience with CRM systems
This is not a lead-generation or cold-calling role.
You will work on enquiries received from Indian importers, exporters and overseas freight-forwarding agents, including JC Trans, with responsibility for understanding the requirement, preparing a competitive quotation, following up with the customer/agent and closing the business.Key Responsibilities
Handle incoming enquiries received through email, WhatsApp, phone and other channels.
Understand customer/agent requirements for import and export shipments.
Obtain and coordinate freight rates and other applicable charges internally.
Prepare accurate and competitive quotations quickly.
Send quotations to customers/agents through email or WhatsApp.
Follow up systematically on every quotation until it is won, lost or put on hold.
Speak with customers/agents to understand their feedback, objections and competitive rates.
Coordinate internally to revise quotations or work out commercial solutions where required.
Maintain a proper record of enquiries, quotations, follow-ups and conversion status.
Identify repeat and upcoming business opportunities from existing customers and agents.
Coordinate with the operations team after confirmation of business for a smooth handover.
Escalate key or high-value prospects to management when required.
