Job Description & Responsibilities
Handle day-to-day mechanical and electrical maintenance of power presses, lathe machines, drilling machines and other industrial equipment.
Maintain high-speed pneumatic presses, including mechanical, electrical, electro-pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Handle maintenance of Special Purpose Machines (SPM).
Monitor machine breakdowns and take necessary actions to minimize downtime.
Prepare and maintain maintenance reports related to shutdown verification, predictive maintenance and periodic overhauling.
Monitor and regularly update the critical spare parts inventory.
Coordinate with external vendors for maintenance-related jobs and repair activities.
Ensure smooth functioning of production machinery through preventive and corrective maintenance.
Required Skills & Competencies
Practical knowledge of mechanical power press maintenance and its components.
Valuable understanding of mechanical and electrical power press systems.
Working knowledge of VFD, PLC, sensors and machine alarms.
Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic and automation systems will be an added advantage.
Must have valuable working knowledge of MS Excel.
Ability to troubleshoot machine breakdowns and ensure minimum downtime.
Experience Required: 4–5 years in industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
