Our client is a long established international infrastructure solutions provider, delivering technical services to leading organisations across a range of business critical environments. With a robust reputation for quality and a growing customer base, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager to be based in Mumbai.
Working from the office and overseeing a portfolio of programmes rather than a single site, the role will be responsible for delivering major connectivity and physical infrastructure projects from start to finish for large cloud and technology customers. Acting as the main point of contact for client stakeholders, it will link key accounts with the internal delivery function and make sure every programme is completed on time, within budget and to specification. Core responsibilities include scoping, scheduling, budgeting, risk management and resource planning, along with leading site teams and signing off technical submissions, drawings, variations and handover documentation. Close coordination with procurement, subcontractors, consultants and main contractors is expected, as is regular reporting on cost, programme, quality and compliance metrics. The position also carries a commercial element:
spotting prospects to grow existing accounts, supporting tenders and pricing, and helping to bring new strategic customers on board.
At least five years of project or operations management experience within network infrastructure, critical facilities or wider ICT delivery is required, ideally including major data hall builds. Solid technical knowledge of copper and fibre systems, containment, testing and certification is essential, together with a good grasp of recognised industry standards and local health & safety and quality requirements. Confident communication with clients, the ability to manage several live projects under pressure and familiarity with planning tools such as MS Project or Primavera are also expected. A degree in Engineering or a related discipline is preferred, and a PMP, PRINCE2 or recognised cabling design accreditation would be an advantage, as would experience of multinational delivery environments. If you have the required background, please ensure your CV is attached to your application. All applications are treated with complete confidentiality and are not forwarded to our client until candidates have been briefed.
