Role Description The Furniture Carpenter will work full time on-site in Mumbai, focusing on the construction, installation, and repair of wooden furniture and fixtures. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting drawings or measurements, selecting appropriate materials, cutting, shaping, and assembling components, and performing finish carpentry work such as sanding, polishing, and fitting hardware. The role involves using a range of hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently, ensuring that all pieces meet quality and safety standards. The Furniture Carpenter will collaborate with supervisors, designers,



and other team members to complete projects on schedule and may assist in in office installations at client locations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess solid Carpentry skills, with experience in furniture making and joinery.
Candidates should be proficient in using Hand Tools, including saws, chisels, planes, and measuring instruments.
Candidates should be skilled in operating Power Tools safely, such as drills, routers, sanders, and cutting machines.
Candidates should have experience in Framing and structural assembly for furniture and fixtures.
Candidates should demonstrate ability in Finish Carpentry, including fitting, sanding, polishing, and detailing work.
Relevant experience as a furniture carpenter or cabinet maker, ideally in a workshop or interior projects environment.
Ability to read basic technical drawings, take accurate measurements, and follow specifications.
Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to workplace safety standards.
Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Vocational training, apprenticeship, or certification in carpentry or a related trade is an advantage.
