About the role

You will join the client’s in-house engineering team working on a clinical learning platform that is going through a platform migration and adding AI-powered features. This is a hands-on senior role: you will write code, shape technical design, guide other engineers, and work directly with US-based stakeholders.

What you will do
Design, build and maintain front-end, back-end and API components using TypeScript, Node.js and React.
Build and integrate AI features using LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini or similar).
Design data models and write optimized SQL.
Lead technical discussions, review code, and mentor junior engineers.
Work in Agile sprints with US teams: refinement, estimation and status updates.
Act as first point of escalation for complex technical issues in your area.

Must-have skills
7+ years in software engineering, with solid hands-on full-stack work.
TypeScript / JavaScript, Node.js, Express, React.
SQL, relational data modeling,



and query optimization.
REST API design and third-party integrations.
Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs and using prompt engineering (structured outputs, system prompts).
Daily use of AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code or similar).
Unit testing / TDD and code reviews in Agile teams.
Excellent spoken and written English, and comfort working directly with US clients.

Positive-to-have skills
Agentic AI: tool/function calling, MCP, agent frameworks, LLM evaluation (LLM-as-judge, regression tests).
Responsible AI practices: guardrails, PII handling.
LMS integrations, e.g. Cornerstone, Workday Learning, or LTI/SCORM-based platforms.
Python; exposure to Java or .NET.
Healthcare, EHR (e.g., Epic) or edtech domain experience.
Experience as a tech lead or mentor.
