We are hiring a Financial Analyst on behalf of our client. This is a remote role open to candidates based in Gurugram. You will analyze financial data, build models, and prepare reports that help the business make smart financial decisions. It's a great chance for a fresher or early-career professional who is detail-oriented, enjoys working with numbers, and is comfortable working independently in a remote setup.

Role & responsibilities
Analyze financial data, trends, and business performance to provide actionable insights
Build and maintain basic financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and planning
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and MIS
Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. budget) and explain key drivers
Support budgeting and forecasting (FP&A;) cycles
Assist with valuation and investment analysis (DCF, ROI, NPV, IRR)
Review financial statements and track key financial KPIs
Create dashboards and presentations for management and stakeholders
Collaborate with finance, accounting, and business teams through online tools
Ensure data accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies

Preferred candidate profile




Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or related field (MBA/CFA pursuing preferred)
0 to 1 year of experience in financial analysis, FP&A;, or related field (internships count)
Positive understanding of financial statements, ratios, and accounting basics
Robust proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, basic financial modeling) and PowerPoint
Basic knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Comfortable with video meetings and online collaboration tools
Stable internet connection and own laptop

Nice to Have
CFA Level 1 (cleared or pursuing), CA Inter, or similar certification
Internship experience in finance, FP&A;, or investment banking
Familiarity with Power BI/Tableau for data visualization
Basic knowledge of SQL or VBA/Macros
Exposure to accounting tools (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP)
Prior experience working remotely
