Responsibilities:
Design and development of sheet metal and plastic components using PTC CREO 4.0 and above version
Able to understand product requirements and ability to create and communicate creative design concepts.
Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
General understanding of engineering material, sheet metal design, plastic design, manufacturing processes and fabrication methods.
Knowledge specific machine elements like gear, shaft, pulleys, drive mechanism.
Knowledge of GD&T;, tolerance stack-up, DFM/DFA, engineering standards.
Knowledge of rapid prototyping and different processes.
Experience in design change management, engineering change management, drawing release.
Coordinate and collaborate with industrialization, quality, production and cross-functional team for design feasibility.
Prepare and maintain BOMs, technical documentation, and design specifications.
Troubleshoot design and manufacturing-related issues and provide suitable engineering solutions.
Candidates with experience in manufacturing and industrial machinery would be preferred.
