Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend features for payment flows, including charges, refunds, disputes, and webhooks
Refactor legacy services, modernize APIs, improve test coverage, and reduce technical debt.
Build scalable microservices and APIs, ensuring code quality through testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.




Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver sprint commitments.
Document technical designs, API specifications, and runbooks, ensuring production stability and smooth knowledge transfer.

Requirements
3+ years of backend engineering experience with solid Java proficiency; Kotlin and Python are additional advantages.
Hands-on experience building and operating production payment flows in fintech, payments, or billing systems.
Solid expertise in REST/GraphQL APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, distributed systems, and MySQL/SQL.
Experience with unit, integration, and contract testing, legacy service migration, GitLab, CI/CD, and production incident resolution.
Self-driven engineer capable of owning end-to-end delivery with minimal supervision, collaborating across distributed teams
