Role Description The Chef at Frappe & Yap Cafe is responsible for preparing and presenting desserts, beverages, and light café dishes to consistent quality standards in a fast-paced setting. Day-to-day tasks include planning and mise en place, cooking and baking menu items, ensuring food safety and hygiene, managing inventory, and coordinating with the front-of-house team to provide timely service.

The Chef will also contribute to menu improvements, assist in training junior staff, and help maintain a clean, organized kitchen. This is a full-time,



on-site role based in Pune City, requiring flexible availability, including weekends and peak café hours.

Qualifications
Robust skills in dessert preparation, baking, and basic café-style cooking, with attention to taste, texture, and presentation.
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen cleanliness practices in a professional setting.
Ability to manage prep work, follow recipes, control portions, and handle inventory to minimize waste.
Good time management and multitasking skills to perform under pressure during busy service periods.
Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with service staff and support a positive work environment.
Prior experience as a Chef, Baker, Commis Chef, or in a dessert café or bakery is preferred.
Relevant culinary training or certification is an advantage, though demonstrable skills and experience are highly valued.
Willingness to work full-time on-site in Pune, with a reliable work ethic and commitment to customer satisfaction.
