Role & responsibilities
Conduct Credit Audits /credit functions covering Retail, MSME and other lending portfolios.
Identify credit, operational and process risks, control gaps and policy deviations.
Prepare comprehensive audit reports, highlight key risk observations and recommend corrective actions.
Review credit appraisal, sanction, documentation, disbursement, monitoring and post-sanction controls.
Assess adherence to Credit Policy, Delegation of Authority, SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
Review asset classification, provisioning, early warning signals (EWS), SMA/NPA accounts and portfolio quality.
Track closure of audit observations and coordinate with Business, Credit, Risk and Operations teams.
Support risk-based audit planning, thematic reviews and management reporting.

Preferred candidate profile
12+ years of relevant experience in Credit Audit / Internal Audit / Credit Risk / Credit Underwriting within Banks/NBFCs.
