Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our engineering team in Sholavaram, Chennai. This position is open to enthusiastic freshers as well as professionals with up to 2 years of hands-on drafting and modeling experience. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in 2D drafting and 3D modeling, with a specific preference for candidates experienced or interested in sheet metal design.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting & Modeling: Create accurate 2D drawings and detailed 3D models using AutoCAD and CATIA.
Sheet Metal Detailing: Design and develop sheet metal components, assemblies, and flat patterns (flattening, bending allowances, and punching layouts) keeping manufacturing constraints in mind.
Engineering Modifications: Update existing drawings and models based on engineering change requests (ECRs) and feedback from the shop floor.
Collaboration: Work closely with the manufacturing and production teams to ensure that designs are optimized for fabrication and assembly.
Documentation: Maintain organized technical documentation, bills of materials (BOM), and design records.
Candidate Requirements
Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, CAD, and CATIA (ability to generate clean 2D and 3D designs).
Domain Preference: Prior knowledge, coursework, or project experience in Sheet Metal Design is highly preferred.
Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience: Fresher to 2 years of relevant qualified or internship experience.
Location: Candidates residing in or around Chennai (specifically near Sholavaram or willing to commute) are preferred.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
