Job Summary We are looking for a qualified and motivated Laboratory Chemist to join our GPCB Schedule-I Workplace Audit Laboratory.

Qualifications
B.Sc. Chemistry / M.Sc. Chemistry.
B.Sc. / M.Sc. Analytical Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry will be preferred.

Experience

Candidates with experience in environmental testing laboratories, water and wastewater analysis, chemical testing, or NABL-accredited laboratories will be preferred

Skills
Basic knowledge of analytical chemistry and environmental sample testing.
Understanding of laboratory instruments, wet chemistry, and analytical procedures.
Knowledge of NABL requirements and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 will be an added advantage.
Positive documentation, recordkeeping, and analytical skills.
Basic proficiency in MS Word and Excel.




Ability to work effectively within a laboratory team.

Responsibilities
Laboratory Testing Analysis
Perform chemical analysis of environmental samples, including wastewater, treated effluent, surface water, groundwater, and other relevant samples.
Conduct testing for parameters such as pH, TDS, TSS, COD, BOD, chloride, hardness, alkalinity, and other applicable chemical parameters.
Prepare reagents, standard solutions, and calibration solutions as per approved laboratory procedures.
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as pH meters, conductivity meters, spectrophotometers, and other analytical equipment, as applicable.
Follow approved test methods, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and laboratory safety practices.
