Role & responsibilities
Collect, receive, label, and process blood and other biological samples as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Perform routine laboratory investigations in areas such as haematology, biochemistry, clinical pathology, and serology, as per qualifications and assigned responsibilities.
Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and diagnostic instruments.
Ensure proper sample identification, storage, transportation, and disposal.
Maintain quality control records and participate in internal quality control procedures.
Ensure accurate entry of patient details, test results, and other information in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
Follow biosafety guidelines, infection control practices, and laboratory safety protocols.




Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the laboratory and ensure proper biomedical waste segregation and disposal.
Monitor reagent stock, consumables, and expiry dates, and report shortages to the Lab In-charge.
Identify and report abnormal results, sample discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, and quality-related issues to the concerned supervisor.
Coordinate with laboratory staff, phlebotomists, and other departments to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
Maintain all laboratory registers, documentation, and records as required.
Ensure confidentiality of patient information and compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
