About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Fusion Splicing Specialist to install, splice, test, and maintain fiber optic cable networks. You will work on FTTH, backbone, and enterprise projects, ensuring high-quality, low-loss connections that meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
Perform fusion splicing on single-mode and multimode fiber, including ribbon and loose-tube cables
Prepare fibers (stripping, cleaning, cleaving) and operate fusion splicing machines
Test splices and links using OTDR, optical power meters, and light sources
Install and terminate fiber in splice closures, patch panels, ODFs, and fiber distribution hubs
Troubleshoot and repair fiber breaks and signal loss issues
Prepare splice reports, test results, and as-built documentation
Follow safety procedures, including proper handling of fiber and chemicals
Maintain tools, splicing equipment, and inventory
Coordinate with project supervisors, site engineers, and other technicians

Required Qualifications
[2+] years of hands-on fusion splicing experience
Working knowledge of OTDR testing and trace analysis
Understanding of fiber types, color codes,



and splice loss standards
Ability to read network diagrams and splice plans
Diploma/ITI/high school diploma or equivalent in electronics, telecom, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications
FOA CFOT certification or equivalent
Experience with aerial, underground, and in-building fiber installation
Experience with GPON/FTTH networks
Valid driver’s license and own transportation (for field roles)

Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors in varying weather
Basic computer skills for reports and test software
Willingness to travel to project sites

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
