Metabolic Engineer - Trainee

Location : Dombivli, Thane

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Perform molecular cloning and genome editing techniques for strain construction

Execute genetic engineering workflows; construct plasmids and perform genomic integrations

Conduct strain validation assays: phenotypic profiling, growth kinetics analysis, and genetic stability testing

Perform metabolite quantification and strain characterization

Support strain screening campaigns. Conduct comparative analysis of engineered strains vs. parent strains; troubleshoot genetic construct performance

Maintain detailed lab records; prepare technical reports and experimental documentation

Participate in literature reviews and technology evaluation to support metabolic engineering strategy

Comply with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: M.Tech or M.Sc in Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline

Experience: Fresher.

Soft Skills: Solid attention to detail, Effective communication and teamwork skill.
