Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end procurement operations and develop strategic sourcing plans for transformer manufacturing.
Oversee procurement of CRGO steel, copper, aluminium, transformer oil, insulation materials, bushings, tap changers, and other critical components.
Drive cost optimization through commercial negotiations, competitive sourcing, and long-term vendor development.
Establish and maintain strategic supplier relationships, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and competitive pricing.
Plan material procurement in coordination with Production, Planning, Stores, Quality, and Engineering teams.
Monitor procurement budgets, inventory levels, market trends, and supplier performance.
Lead and manage the Purchase team,



ensuring productive processes and timely execution of procurement activities.
Develop procurement MIS, cost analysis, and vendor performance reports for management review.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, approval processes, and quality standards.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
MBA or postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain / Materials Management will be an added advantage.

Experience
13+ years of experience in Purchase / Procurement, including managerial responsibilities.
Mandatory experience in a Transformer Manufacturing Company.
