Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Job Responsibilities
Set up and operate Vertical Machining Centre (VMC) machines for precision component manufacturing.
Perform tool setting, job setting, workpiece clamping, and fixture setting.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
Understand CNC programs and make minor program edits as required.
Select appropriate cutting tools, tool offsets, and machining parameters.
Inspect components using measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, and Height Gauges.
Ensure components meet quality standards and production targets.
Monitor machining operations and troubleshoot basic machine or machining issues.
Maintain machine cleanliness and follow 5S, safety, and preventive maintenance practices.
Coordinate with the Quality and Production teams to ensure smooth production.
Required Skills
Hands-on experience in VMC setting and operation.
Knowledge of CNC controls such as Fanuc, Mitsubishi, or Siemens.
Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T; basics.
Knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, offsets, and machining processes.
