Main responsibilities:
Read and understand engineering drawings and welding symbols.
Set up and operate MIG welding machines.
Select appropriate wire, gas, voltage, and welding parameters.
Weld steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals as required.
Check welds for cracks, porosity, undercut, and other defects.
Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and alignment.
Perform grinding, cleaning, and finishing of welded parts.
Follow workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Maintain welding equipment and report machine problems.
Meet production and quality targets.
