Tool Life Management: Monitor tool performance, analyze tool wear and failure, and implement measures to improve tool life and reduce tooling costs.
Fixture & Tool Holder Selection: Identify suitable fixtures, clamping arrangements, tool holders, and accessories for machining operations.
Technical Drawing Interpretation: Read engineering drawings, tolerances,



and component specifications to determine tooling requirements.
Productivity Improvement: Reduce machining cycle time, tool change time, rejection, and rework through effective tooling solutions.
Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with tooling suppliers for tool trials, technical specifications, recent tool development, and cost negotiations.
Tool Trials & Validation: Conduct cutting tool trials and validate performance based on dimensional accuracy, surface finish, tool life, and productivity.
Cost Control: Analyze tooling consumption and expenditure and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with Production, CNC Programming, Process Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve machining-related issues.
