Junior Architectural CAD/BIM Designer

Role Overview

An architectural technology and drafting services studio in Puducherry is looking for a detail-oriented Junior Architectural CAD/BIM Designer with 1–3 years of relevant experience in architectural drafting, CAD/BIM modelling, and technical drawing production. The role involves developing digital models, preparing architectural permit drawings, and supporting project documentation by translating architectural sketches and design concepts into accurate technical drawings.

Candidates with hands-on CAD/BIM skills gained through skilled experience, practical training, or academic projects are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop architectural digital models and technical drawings from sketches, floor plans, and conceptual inputs.
- Interpret architectural drawings and understand building design concepts and project requirements.
- Prepare architectural permit drawings using appropriate CAD/BIM software.
- Coordinate with architects to understand design intent and clarify technical information.
- Review drawings for accuracy, consistency, applicable regulations, and quality standards.
- Incorporate design revisions and feedback into drawings and digital models.




- Organise project files and maintain accurate technical documentation.
- Plan assigned tasks, manage priorities, and meet project deadlines.
- Communicate work progress and seek guidance when required.

Requirements

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in architectural drafting, CAD/BIM modelling, or a similar role; alternatively, at least 6 months of hands-on CAD/BIM experience.
- Freshers may also be considered if they can demonstrate a high-quality CAD/BIM project developed during their degree.
- Familiarity with CAD/BIM software through professional experience, practical training, or academic projects.
- Understanding of architectural drawings, floor plans, and building design concepts.
- Good mathematical, spatial reasoning, and technical drawing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to drawing accuracy.
- Ability to organise work, meet deadlines, and incorporate feedback.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.

Work Schedule

- Location: Kirumambakkam, Puducherry
- Working Days: Monday – Friday
- Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
