Designation: Nozzle Operator / Petrol Pump Attendant

Department: Operations / Fuel Management
Reporting To: Site In-charge / Fuel Supervisor

1. Job Purpose

To ensure the safe and accurate dispensing of diesel and other fuels to authorized vehicles, machinery, and equipment while maintaining proper fuel records and following all safety procedures.

2. Key Responsibilities

- Operate the fuel dispensing nozzle and pump safely and efficiently.
- Dispense diesel/petrol to authorized vehicles and machinery as per instructions.
- Record vehicle number, equipment ID, date, time, opening and closing meter readings, and quantity of fuel dispensed.
- Maintain daily fuel consumption and dispensing registers.
- Verify fuel quantities dispensed and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Monitor fuel stock and report low fuel levels or suspected leakage.
- Ensure proper handling of fuel and prevent spillage, wastage, and unauthorized dispensing.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping at the fuel dispensing area.
- Follow fire safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report pump malfunction, leakage, equipment damage,



or any unsafe condition immediately.
- Assist in daily reconciliation of fuel received, dispensed, and closing stock.
- Perform other duties related to fuel management as assigned by the supervisor.

3. Safety Requirements

- No smoking or open flames near the fuel dispensing area.
- Ensure the vehicle or machinery is properly positioned before dispensing fuel.
- Stop dispensing immediately in case of leakage or any emergency.
- Follow all site safety rules and emergency procedures.

4. Qualifications and Skills

- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate fuel records.
- Knowledge of fuel dispensing procedures and safety precautions.
- Honesty, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- Previous experience at a petrol pump or diesel dispensing station is preferred.

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
