JOB SUMMARY

CUBE invites applications from Civil Engineering graduates of proven distinction to join its QA/QC team as Support Engineer – Roads, Buildings & Bridges. The ideal candidate shall bring demonstrated field experience in quality control of road, building and bridge works, underpinned by sound technical judgment and professional rigour. The selected candidate shall be entrusted with supporting the QA & QC Managers in safeguarding strict adherence to project specifications, quality benchmarks and applicable statutory codes at site.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

- Qualification. B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering.

- Experience. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

Technical Competencies

- Working knowledge of IS, IRC and MoRTH standards and construction practices.

- Familiarity with site testing and quality control procedures.

- Proficiency in MS Office and basic AutoCAD.

- Valuable communication and report-writing skills; willingness to work at site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Support Engineer shall support CUBE's QA/QC managers in day-to-day field quality surveillance, including:

- Carrying out routine site inspections of roads, buildings and bridge works and verifying work against approved drawings, specifications and ITPs.

- Inspecting excavation, foundations, reinforcement (cover, spacing, lapping), formwork, concrete pours, pavement layers, levels and alignments before clearance.

- Witnessing material and field tests - concrete cubes, slump, density, compaction, bitumen content and gradation - and verifying results against specifications.

- Checking material deliveries,



source approvals and test certificates before acceptance at site.

- Maintaining inspection checklists, test registers, pour cards, measurement records and daily site diaries.

- Identifying quality deviations, assisting in preparing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and following up on rectification.

- Verifying compliance with IRC, MoRTH, IS and BIS standards and approved method statements.

- Coordinating with contractors' engineers and the laboratory team to ensure timely inspections and testing.

- Preparing daily, weekly and monthly quality reports and supporting audits and joint measurements.

- Supporting safety and housekeeping compliance at work fronts.
