**About the Role**

Pragati Edible Processing Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented **Senior Accountant** to manage accounting operations, manufacturing accounts, inventory, costing, taxation, and financial reporting at its factory unit near Kharagpur.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Maintain and finalize books of accounts, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Bank Reconciliation.

* Handle store purchase entries, sales order entries, and purchase billing.

* Manage manufacturing accounting, product costing, cost variance analysis, inventory, WIP, and finished goods.

* Ensure accurate accounting of production, material consumption, and scrap.

* Handle GST returns, reconciliations, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.





* Prepare monthly financial statements and MIS reports for management.

* Coordinate internal and external audits.

* Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

* Maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal controls.

* Supervise junior accounting staff and coordinate with production teams, vendors, and banks.

**Candidate Requirements**

* B.Com is mandatory; M.Com / CA (Inter) / CMA (Inter) will be preferred.

* 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing.

* Strong hands-on experience in GST, TDS, taxation, costing, and inventory accounting.

* Proficiency in Tally / ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.

* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

* **Candidates must reside near Gopinathpur, Kharagpur, or nearby areas.**
