CNC Machine Operator

2. Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible CNC Machine Operator to operate CNC machines for manufacturing precision components as per engineering drawings, production plans, and quality standards. The candidate should have knowledge of machine operation, tool setting, component inspection, and basic troubleshooting.

3. Key Responsibilities

- Operate CNC turning machines, CNC lathe machines, and/or CNC machining centers as per production requirements.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Perform machine setting, tool setting, and workpiece loading/unloading.
- Select appropriate cutting tools and monitor tool wear.
- Inspect finished components using vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other measuring instruments.
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and product quality as per specifications.
- Follow production schedules and achieve daily production targets.
- Identify machining defects and report machine abnormalities to the supervisor.
- Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain production records, inspection reports, and tool usage records.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and 5S standards.
- Coordinate with the production and quality departments to ensure smooth operations.

4. Required Skills and Qualifications





- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification preferred.
- Experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of CNC controls such as Fanuc or Siemens preferred.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and inspection methods.
- Basic knowledge of cutting tools, machining parameters, and offsets.
- Good attention to detail, discipline, and teamwork.

5. Experience

- Fresher or experienced candidates may apply, depending on company requirements.
- Preferred experience: 1–3 years in CNC machining.
- Experience in valve components, fittings, precision machining, or industrial components is an advantage.

6. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Daily production target achievement.
- Component rejection and rework rate.
- Dimensional accuracy and quality compliance.
- Machine utilization and downtime.
- Tool consumption and material wastage.
- Compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.

7. Working Conditions

- Department: Production
- Reporting to: CNC Supervisor / Production Manager
- Work location: Manufacturing plant
- Working hours: As per company shift schedule
- Employment type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
